Conclusion

Everybody has a different idea of what is right or wrong. Here is an excerpt from the movie Captain Corelli's Mandolin. This scene was one of many that portrayed his character as someone who is extremely moral, despite his ethics being very different from the characters he is portraying.

In this scene, he is trying to get into a bath to save a couple of unfortunate children from being beheaded, but he is pulled out by a random elderly lady named Maud (played by Sandra Ogundipe).

It is only because the elderly woman can sense the moral quality of the person and that the soul of the person was not dead, that she didn't pull him into a similar fate.
